Centre for Environmental Management and Participatory Development (CEMPD)

Sustainable human communities can be achieved only through a people – centered development. A people – centered development seeks to retain control over resources to the people and their communities, to be used in meeting their own needs. This creates incentives for the responsible stewardship of resources that is essential to sustainability.
